The KS-5618 is a high-speed single-needle lockstitch industrial sewing machine specially designed for sewing heavy-duty items like upholstery, sportswear, car cushions, luggage, bags, and much more. This machine has a walking foot that makes sewing thick items or multiple layers of fabric easier than ever. The walking foot and needle bar move in unison with the feed dogs to grip the fabric and pull it evenly through the machine. This feature makes the KS-5681 perfect for sewing multiple layers because it prevents the layers from shifting and creating distorted stitches and puckering. Along with a walking foot, this machine has a high presser foot height of 14 mm, which allows you to sew the bulkiest and thickest of items. The KS-5618 also has an adjustable stitch length that can go as high as 8 mm, which many machines cannot do. This adjustable stitch length allows you to switch between shorter and stronger seams to longer and looser seams, depending on the project and material.
