If you are a beginner like I am, this is the best way to getting hands on training on your machine. I'm a hands-on learner rather than reading or listening to tapes. I am more confident now that I can see where I am going wrong. Even when I have to call in for help, I am now able to tell them what my mistake is.

Overall a great experience

Overall, the DecoSummit experience surpassed my expectations. The classes were definitely expertly taught, and I learned more than I expected. My only criticism is with the way the software labs were handled. In a laudable effort to make sure everyone was caught up, too much time elapsed to complete the project, resulting in unfinished labs. Maybe add an "assistant" or two to help individual students while keeping the class moving. Another alternative would have been to reduce the complexity of the project so that the concepts could be achieved in the allotted time.
